Jatiyo Sriti Shoudho

Jatiyo Sriti Shoudho:
Jatiyo Sriti Shoudho or National  Martyrs' Memorial, designed by architect Syed Mainul Hossain, was built in 1976-78 in memoriam of the martyrs who sacrificed themselves for the sake of liberation of Bangladesh during 1971 against Pakistan. The highest point of the monument is 150 feet. It is located at Savar, about 35km north-west of Dhaka city.

National Parliament Complex

National Parliament Complex:
The parliament of Bangladesh is named  as Jatiyo Sangshad often referred as JS. Jatiyo Sangsad Bhaban or  National Parliament House, is the house of the Jatiyo Sangsad, located  at Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. Designed by architect Louis Kahn, the complex, is one of the largest legislative complexes in the world, comprising 200 acres (800,000 m²), and an obvious must-visit site for a tourist.

Madhabkunda waterfall is one of the largest waterfalls in Bangladesh. It’s very beautiful place in Bangladesh. It is situated in Barlekha Upazila in Sylhet. The waterfall is a popular tourist spot in Bangladesh. Every year lot's of local tourist & foreign tourist come here to spend their leisure. Big boulders, surrounding forest, and the adjoining streams attracts many tourists for picnic parties and day trips.


How to go Madhobkunda waterfall: 

To reach the waterfall at Madhobkundo, you take the road towards Borlekha from Moulvi Bazar. Go past Kulaura and the Juri intersection. Just before reaching Borlekha you turn right into a smaller road and follow it for eight kilometres to Madhobkundo Eco-park. The drive is ninety minutes from Moulvi Bazar.

Taj Hat er zamindar Bari

Taj Hat er zamindar BariRangpur (Bengali: রংপুর) is one of the major cities in Bangladesh and Rangpur Division. Rangpur was declared a district headquarters on 16 December 1769, and established as a municipality in 1869, making it one of the oldest municipalities in Bangladesh.[1][4] The municipal office building was erected in 1892 under the precedence Raja Janaki Ballav, Sen. Chairman of the municipality. During the period of 1890, "Shyama sundari khal" was excavated for improvement of the town. The Municipality is located in the north western part of Bangladesh.[1] A Recently established public university of Bangladesh named "Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur" is situated in the southern part of the city. Previously, Rangpur was the headquarters of Greater Rangpur district. Later the Greater Rangpur district was broken down into the Rangpur, Kurigram, Nilphamari, Lalmonirhat and Gaibandha districts. In the great Rangpur region, little economic development took place until the 90s, mainly because of the yearly flooding the region used to see before the making of the Teesta Barrage. Coal is found near this district. There is a large military cantonment in the town.

  • Borokuthi: In the compound of the Barakuthi there is a small cemetery with groves dating back to the years of the nineteenth century. There are 14 tombs with thirteen epitaphs within the cemetery. Here also some natural calimetari which make people enjoy for time being.

Rajshahi

Rajshahi (Bengali: রাজশাহী; historically Rampur Boalia; nicknamed Silk City) is a metropolitan city in Bangladesh and a major urban, commercial and educational centre of North Bengal. It is the administrative seat[note 1] of Rajshahi Division & Rajshahi District . Located on the north bank of the Padma River, near the Bangladesh-India border; the city has a population of over 763,952 residents.[3] The city is surrounded by satellite towns like Katakhali & Nowhata, which together build an urban agglomeration of about 1 million population.
Modern Rajshahi lies in the ancient region of Pundravardhana. The foundation of the city dates to 1634, according to epigraphic records at the mausoleum of Sufi saint Hazrat Shah Makhdum. The area hosted a Dutch settlement in the 18th century.[4] The Rajshahi municipality was constituted during the British Raj in 1876. It was a divisional capital of the Bengal Presidency.
Rajshahi is an important administrative, educational, cultural & business centre in Bangladesh today. It is a historic center of silk production. Varendra Research Museum, which is oldest of its kind in Bangladesh is located in the city. The city is home to the Rajshahi College- which is the third oldest college in Bangladesh after Dhaka College and Chittagong College, Rajshahi Medical College- 2nd oldest medical college in erstwhile East Pakistan. The University of Rajshahi is the second oldest and one of the largest public universities in the country. Rajshahi Engineering College,now RUET was the second engineering college established in the then East Pakistan in 1964 (The first one was Ahsanullah Engineering College: now BUET).[5] Engineering and Survey Institute, RajshahiThe head office of Rajshahi Agricultural Development Bank and Barind Multipurpose Development Authority (BMDA) is situated in the city. Rajshahi is served by the Shah Makhdum Airport.
